I'm a psychology major and I'm considering adding a minor in women's studies this next term. I'm curious how other women's studies majors (or minors) on this sub have found the experience. Are things like pornography openly and honestly discussed? Do you learn a lot of interesting women's history that helps you put our issues today into perspective? Or is a lot of it libfem BS (I live on the west coast so I'm a bit concerned about this) and you feel you can't speak freely about certain issues?

I'm just curious how selecting this major has gone for other women on this sub who have gone that route. I'm particularly inspired by Gail Dines, who apparently teaches this major in Massachusetts and holy hell what I would do to take her class. But I want to help women who were a victim of sex work and the porn industry, and I am hoping a minor in women's studies will be helpful.
