I am someone who flits between being confident one day and insecure the next when it comes to my physical appearance. I wouldn't call myself ugly, but neither am I drop-dead gorgeous. I think I am just average and because of that, if I try hard (like put on jewelry and nice-form fitting clothes) I can look pretty, but if I don't then I can be rather unflattering.

My husband thinks I am beautiful all the time (I share everything with my him except this occasional insecurity. As far as he's concerned, when it comes to looks, I am super confident and I'd like to keep it that way).

But I'd like to work on this. I heard that boudoir shoots can be an extreme confidence booster for many women in terms of physical appearance. I've even heard women say that it wasn't just a photo shoot, it was an transformational experience and they saw themselves differently afterwards. I've been thinking about doing this too, but I'd venture to say that there is an element of sexual objectification to this. Some women give their SOs an album of themselves in the boudoir shoot but I don't plan on gifting this to my husband. This is just for me so I can feel better about myself. I was thinking of asking the photographer to modify the shoot a bit and put me in a very classy dress or a sexy suit instead.

Given that FDS has an extreme aversion to sexual objectification (and rightly so!), what is FDS's stance on boudoir shoots? On one hand, it can help with confidence, on the other hand, it can be sexually objectifying. Thoughts?
