So I (20F), just recently started dating over the summer on Tinder and Bumble. Nothing really stuck until I met him (M22). It started off super flirty and we clicked immediatly. We had so much in common. We decided to meet up for coffee for an hour and it went great. The next week however, he had to go down to Cocoa Beach to help his brother-in law to get their house ready for a hurricane . That entire week he was gone, we were texting non-stop. We had opened up so much and talked about everything and he seemed to be a great communicator. When the hurricane was over, he wanted to see me. We agreed for 6pm, but due to some unforseen events, he wouldn't be able to make it til 11pm. He called me frantically apologizing and didn't want to come over at 11pm because he didn't want me to think it was booty call and told me if I was uncomfortable with him coming over that late then he wouldn't. I trusted that he wasn't going to use me so I told him to come anyways. This boy boy drove three hours straight to me. When he saw me, he literally picked me up and hugged me. It felt like reuniting with an old friend. We kissed and it felt so passionate compared to all the other guys I have kissed. He spent the night and never pressured me to have sex. The next morning, he made me pancakes because he knew I've been craving them. And we spent all morning and afternoon, talking and cuddling. Before he left, he asked me when I was free next . He's been waiting to take me out to this resturant because he thought I would like it.

A couple days later, we are going on this dinner date. He dressed up all nice and we ubered there. During this whole date, he is allover me. He is holding my hand, he's hugging me from behind, doing anything to touch me. After dinner, we go for a late night swim. It was so fun and romantic. We head back to my place and mess around (we didn't have sex). I'm quite inexperienced and he made me feel comfortable and pleasured. When we're cuddling, he reveals to me that he applied for this job in Cocoa Beach and that he got it. Unfortunately, that meant he was going to be leaving in two months (late October). He told me when he was on dating apps, he was just looking for something casual but, in his words, "I had to be cute". He always told me that I made his heart flutter. But he hated long distance relationship because with his last one, he was always sad and hated not being there. I'll admit it made me feel good but I figured, that most likely this wouldn't end up in anything serious so while I was heartbroken, I was just going to enjoy the time I had with him.

Next date, we decide to go to get something to eat and a movie. Again, he gets us an Uber, even though he has a car. But he tells me his car his messy and he rather be able to look at me and talk to me. In the Uber, he is invested in everything I am saying, he's touching my leg, playing with my hand, etc. He got the movie tickets and picked seats without any arm rests so that he could hold me. He would pet my head, kiss my hand, etc.

Anyways, everything is going great for the next couple of dates. Fast forward to one night where he decided to make me dinner. I ask him what day he was leaving in October since I didn't know the exact date. And he casually says, "Oh, they found a replacement at job already so I'm leaving next week". I was stunned that he just told me now and I'm not sure when he found out but I kept thinking, would he have told me if I didn't ask? I was devasted because I just lost a whole month with him. While we were just chilling, I decided to ask him if he would be willing to try LDR. I knew he said no earlier, but I figured since we've spent so much time together and just seemed to head in the relationship route, I thought I'd ask again if he changed his mind. He said no again and while I was sad, I understood. He then asked me if I was going to hookup with any of the college boys after he left. I told him no realistically because I just wouldn't be ready after losing someone as great as him. And I asked him back jokingly but also not, if he'd be hitting the hot babes of Cocoa Beach and he said that he'd only be hanging out with old people and nerds. But then he told me that he doesn't think sex is a big deal deal because it's "just body parts" and how he and his ex broke up because essentially, he wanted an open relationship and she didn't want to have sex with other guys. I, on the other hand, am fairly sure I'm into monogamy. And to top it off, because he saw that I was sad, he suggested that I should have a rebound, despite having told him I am demisexual. So at the end of the conversation, we decided to stay friends after he left (by his request).

The last week we were together, we were to hang out on Thursday to go on a private date and then Friday, we were going to play pool with some friends. He's been wanting to meet my friends and he even introduced himself to my roommates. We planned this pool date two weeks in advance, so he could plan around it since I knew he was trying to see all his friends before he left. Everything was fine until the day before pool, when I asked him what time he wanted to come over so we could head to the pool hall together. He proceeds to tell me that there is this frisbee game that happening and he wanted to go to that instead. I was hurt. I knew that he knew his friends longer than me but we had planned this weeks ago and this frisbee game came up literally the previous night. And again, I thought to myself was he going to even tell me or was he going to bail on me last minute? And that previous week, we were supposed to go out on a date but he had to cancel because he made plans with his friend before. He told me he could totally cancel on his friend but I told him he should go because he made a prior commitment with his friend. I was hoping he would do the same with me but I was wrong, And on top of that, he wanted me to pick if he should go to the game or play pool. I was angry that he was making me pick and essentially make me the bad guy. So I told him, he was an adult and he should choose himself. He eventually choose his friends. He made is seem like he never had time to see his friends, despite that is what he did almost every evening. I don't think it's too much to ask one night from him. I know I haven't known him long compared to his friend, but I thought we were friends too. Not to mention, he doesn't go to school, he only works. I know his job is valid but I also work, while balancing school and an internship and I always make sure to have time for him and I never double book myself. Anyways, he said "But I'll see you tonight right?" and I wasn't sure if I wanted to with my mindset. I just felt dumb still meeting up with someone who didn't seem to value my time. But after a couple hours deliberaing, I realized that I still wanted to see him since it would be the last time for a while. So I decided to be cute and say, "So how are you gonna make it up to me?" I thought it was playful and flirty, as did my friends, but then he sent this long message saying he was trying to find ways to make it up to me but then he realized this was just him trying to make everyone happy. He said that while I was "beautiful and amazing to be around", he needed to spend the remaining time he had with his friends because he doesn't know when he'll be back and it could be after his friends graduate. He apologized for doing this but thought this would be the best way for both of us to be happy. I initially thought he was apologizing but then I saw that he blocked me on Bumble, snapchat, facebook, and instagram. I asked him " You blocked me, wow that hurt." and I saw him texting something but then stopped. I sent another message saying that I wished he called me insteading of texting me. The text didn't go through and I realized he blocked my number too.

I was devasted. He did this to me at work and I literally had to run and cry in the bathroom because I didn't want anyone to see me. But I just kept thinking what did i do so wrong to be blocked? How could someone go from all this affection and love to be removing me completely from his life? I'm just so confused. This was the same guy who never pressured me to have sex with him, paid for everything (even though I adamantly offered to pay). I mean the ubers from my place to wherever we went was literally $20 one way , so we was spending $40 on uber alone just to look at me and talk. The same person who made me dinner, who laughed when I laughed, who hugged me harder everytime he found something funny, thought I was a goddess at everything I did. How could you throw it all away because of a small disagreement and because you're moving only three hours away? He made it seem like he could never return or I couldn't visit him.

Some of my friends think that he was hurt too and he was trying to protect his feelings so he decided to block me. Which was cowardly and selfish, because he literally hurt me and he knows it would hurt me. And how dare he assume that this would make me happy? Another opinion from my roommate was that he was trying to find a way to get rid of me before he left and he decided to do something as drastic as blocking me over something small as an excuse. Not to mention, I noticed that he added a new picture on his Bumble before our fight, so it seemed like he was ready to move on. But I don't even know what to think. Im just so angry that I still have him on my mind three weeks later. I hate not knowing how he's feeling, if he's moved on (which he probably has). The time we spent wasn't long at all, but I've never felt this way. Ive dated other people for the same amount of time and I never cared this much. I know I'm a bad bitch-I'm smart, beautiful, apparently talented in bed despite my lack of experience according to him, interesting, and loving. But I also know I wear my heart on my sleeve . Some of my friends told me to get over him I need to get under someone else. So I've started dating but no one has sparked the same excitement I felt with him. The texts have been boring, the dates have been lackluster. I know i shouldn't compare, but I still got bits of him in my mind.

Sorry this was long. But any type of advice or analysis would be appreciated. Im so new at this.
