One example of this is the idea that "if he puts off marriage for too long, he isn't worth being in a relationship with". I see this on here a lot, and it's absolutely correct. This makes women into "forever girlfriends", signals immaturity, laziness, and commitment issues on the man's part, etc.
However, the opposite is not good either. I personally don't think statements like "I'm looking to be married and have children one day" are bad in any way (no one should waste their time trying to get to know someone who does not have the same long-term goals), but if a man starts literally pressuring you about marriage shortly after you've met, that's just as bad as putting it off for years. This means he wants to lock you in, and usually that he wants to do that before you realize that you may not be right for each other.
