If a mans behavior is out of the ordinary, and when you evaluate the possibilities, you still are left with no logical explanation, LEAVE.
My train of thought goes like this when checking if something makes sense:
1. What are the recent/current life events in this mans life?
2. If I was in their position, would I do this?
3. I compare it with the male behavioral biology, ''would a man by nature do this?'' if so, for what reason? Is the reason malicious or simply their nature?
4. Reflect, contemplate
5. Will I tolerate this behavior? Is it against my boundaries? Is this behavior disrespecting my dignity as a woman?
6. If I come to the conclusion that this needs further discussion with the guy, then I'll ask and discuss to understand what is missing. If the behavior is by core illogical, malicious, disrespectful or unreasonable, a discussion is not needed, and I simply remove them from my life with no further thought.
Highly recommend step 6 because it saves you a lot of time, energy and keeps you mentally healthy, and prevents from further damage or issues being formed. It is a better to take the pain of being disappointed or the anger of being disrespected and leave, instead of sticking around voicing it, to someone who didn't care enough to respect you in the first place.
PS: Never control a man or be over-bearing. Simply keep yourself at a distance, stay neutral and wait for him to do whatever, and see if you agree with it. Patience is key, because if he WANTED to, he WOULD. Don't stress yourself with worrying about what he might or could be doing. Simply stay in a distance enough where it isn't close to your heart, and only allow someone you trust in, when you have been proven that they can be trusted.
Stay safe
