When I was 18, I was a at b-day party (nothing crazy. It was for a teacher so students and friends were there. No drugs or underaged drinking.) I went with my dad (he knew the lady).
Anyways, I'm dancing with my friends and I keep accidentally making eye contact with this guy drinking beer (old enough to drink). Everytime I looked at him, he'd smirk. I didn't like that so I tried to avoid him.
I decided to sit down in a chair, a few moments later, he got up from his seat and sat on my row with me . I left because my friends were leaving.
Fast forward, I see him talking to my dad (he knew it was my dad). It was getting late so I said goodbye and told my dad it was time to leave. The man told the host he was also going to head out. He also said to her, "Next time you're gonna have to throw a party for people my age so they don't think I'm weird when I try talking to them."
I know he was talking about me. I felt bad for 2 seconds. I tried telling my dad but my dad said, "You don't know who he was talking about." But it one of those things. He only said it cause I was there. You know when people do that?
I always use this as an example: someone you really like rejects you, you are talking to your friend and notice they walk by, so, you say to your friend, "When you ask someone out and they reject you."
Does that make sense? Sorry, I'm very bad at punctuation and grammar.

I totally get what you are trying to say. He was hoping to shame you.
My father was a first class prick when it came to women but very protective of his little girl and because of that, he would have definitely known what that man was trying to do.
Grown men have no business talking to 18 year old women. And even that low-life knew that.
