New to this sub group because someone sent me the wrong message thinking i was a moderator. Reading the first chapter of the FDS handbook realized my username is a letter different from that specific author/moderator. sO grateful about the string of events that led me here. I have always had tumultuous dating experiences with nowhere to run to for solid advice. The most recent, pre-pandemic guy dated for 3 months was persistently into me until he was not. I was aware the relationship was short term because he planned to move to LA (pre-pandemic) but concluded to continue talking and having casual sex. He called me his girlfriend in front of his parents and family. Needless to say, we broke up before quarantine and have tapered communication slowly but surely. We remained friends on all social media accounts but seeing his online presence would make me sob for some reason. Finally had the courage to send the message that i was soft-blocking for the aforementioned reason. After reading the handbook cutting off communication (as he ignored my existence) was the right choice. I never felt this level of missing someone & perhaps the connection was in my imagination. However reading FDS sets my mind straight. THANK YOU for the invaluable resource, FDS
