Okay, so. The date from my last post was a bust, but I'm not going to let one shitty experience deter me, so I got back in the saddle and went on a date with a different man.

He's age appropriate, intelligent, has a good job, and carries a conversation very well. On our first date, we went to a casual restaurant/lounge, where we sat and talked for 5 hours! We only had 2 drinks over the whole night, and it was great. I once apologized for rambling a lot and he said "don't be sorry - you're not rambling, you're articulating." When I went on a rant about all the ways the Eragon movie sucked, he wasn't saying anything. When I trailed off, he had this big grin on his face and said "you're so cute, you know that, right?"

We've been talking for 3 weeks now, I even went to his house for movies after our second date to a cute little burger place and he hasn't made a single dirty joke, made a pass at me, or done anything besides cuddle me and kiss me once. He's witty and handsome, and when we talk, it's a real conversation where he listens to me and asks me questions about my thoughts.

We have no solid plans for a third date but he said he wants to see me again. I have no idea how to proceed. He knows I have no interest in hookups or casual sex. I think this has real potential but I'm worried I'm going to set myself up for heartache. How should I proceed? I'm focusing on my own hobbies and life, focusing on my friendships, maintaining myself, but I can't seem to shake my old mindset that if I don't make all the moves first, then I'll never get another date.

It's stressing me out. What can I do to take my mind off this guy so I don't lose myself in daydreams about what could be?
