Im 32. A few years ago i met the most charming, smart, ambitious, fun, handsome guy... When we met i was 30 and he was 24. It has been great but I'm thinking about ending it. I have no reason to other than me feeling guilty and...ill just say it...i feel creepy. Im stalling breaking it off. Im trying to get some advice first, preferably just from women. But i get a sense that people in my life are afraid to give their hinest opinions. So please any blunt honesty would be appreciated, nothing will hurt my feelings, i really just want honest perspectives and opinions.
The thing is, after a while the whole relationship felt creepy on my end. I don't know if it's society-ingrained shame or if my gut instincts are correct. But it almost feels too easy. Like prey and predator cliche dynamic, because hes just so vulnerable and open trusting. He has no guards up. Its like blood in the water because sometimes i feel like the temptation to take advantage of that (in arguments or when i want something my way etc) is so high.
Hes so easily impressed. Also he scrambles to keep me around. Which i do want in a partner (the scrambling to keep me part). But it's sometimes almost like out of body type of experience - almost as though im looking in from the outside or something. Hes just so transparent and easy and i know that its because of age/experience gap. I can easily talk him into any direction i want, he doesnt know better.
Ugh idk. How creepy do i sound? Anyone else get involved with a younger guy? Is it stupid? Its stupid right? Idk how men justify it so easily, dating younger.. It's a constant self doubt that im in the wrong.
