Crosspost "A woman lying about being on birth control = the same as “stealthing”?" from /r/fourthwavewomen:

This is another one of those reddit things that never made sense to me. Reddit loves to talk about women lying about being on birth control to baby trap men as if it happens all the time. They also talk about it as if it’s the same as or worse than “stealthing” aka the man removing the condom without consent. It seems ridiculous to me to equate the two. It’s shitty to lie about being on birth control, sure - but pregnancy is still something a woman goes through that completely changes her body and can result in long term health issues and even death. Not to mention stealthing can result in STDs as well. Both are bad but they’re not the same and I’m tired of Reddit equating them.
