These are new laws. This was Argentina. This also happened in Spain recently for 100,000 under a new law. These payments are in addition to 50/50 and alimony and child support. This compensation is for women who gave up a job to look after kids or the house. It is approx 5000 per year. The large payouts are for divorcees that are near retirement age. Its not relevant to how much money the husband actually has. So if you are around 60 years old and get divorced it would be 50/50 and alimony and could also be 30 years x 5,000. If the man hasn't got it then 50/50 could then easily be 100/0.
