Generally good advice. He should have added, "Don't commit to any woman". That would basically have knocked those 5 pins in one shot.

You can’t get rich at a job. You have to get rich by either starting a business or having multiple streams of income. A job is only one stream of income. “Me, Inc.” should diversify.

I'm going to somewhat disagree, and let me explain.

Starting a business is high-risk / high-reward. Most businesses fail, and that means lost income potential as well as any capital that you've sunk into it. Not everyone is cut out to run a business. It's more of a lifestyle choice than getting a job. If you don't have the passion to run a business for something other than the sake of money, you will most likely fail.

Full-time jobs generally pay better than multiple part time jobs. As long as future prospects in your career are good, it's better to focus on being as good at that skill as you can. The world tends to reward specialists over generalists. Get really fucking good at your skill. Unless, of course, they mean to make money at your career and invest that money ... which I guess is like buying a stream of passive income.

While you won't get "rich" working for someone else, you can become /r/financialindependence by earning a good wage and living well below your means. People can retire in their 40s or even 30s this way, having saved up enough to generate a perpetual stream of passive income.
