If your father was born in say 1955, close to my father's birthday for example, you have to understand that puts them at 1970 when they're 15 years old, and 1975 when they're 20. Almost ten years from the CD being invented, everything was still on vinyl. Led Zeppelin were at their peak popularity with their drummer still alive. The western world is basically unrecognizable from what we have today when it comes to social norms.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't tune out ALL of your fathers advice of course, but much of it is going to be outdated and therefore useless because even HE doesn't understand how dramatically and quickly things have changed. Most people from that generation simply have no idea because they're already socially isolated from the younger generations due to their age, and then when you add the exponential increase in the speed at which things change...they don't even have a fair chance to understand.

I personally ignore almost all advice from that generation, because this is the same generation that was too stupid and willfully unaware of how their society was crumbling around them for decades at a time. Reading/knowing just a little bit of classical philosophy could have changed that. That type of willful ignorance takes brainwashing, but they really wanted to be brainwashed if you get down deep enough into it.

It doesn't matter that there are good women out there.

The odds against finding one and ending up with a typical AWALT are overwhelming. And you can't tell until later down the road.

Then you lose your home, your children, your house, much of your savings and half your income for the next 10-20 years.

It's insane to even bother.

There are good women out there. The problem is that they are so few and far between that you have a better chance of getting hit by lightning while holding a winning lottery ticket than meeting one.

MGTOW see that the odds are abysmal and live their lives accordingly.
