In my opinion, you can pretty much see how the romantic world works if you just open your eyes. It's not a fair system. Some people have a much easier time with it, and have a lot more fun than other people.

Bad romantic relationships and bad divorces are all there to find out about too -- all you have to do is talk to someone who has been through that.

Why don't so many people notice those issues so much at first? I think that it's just that people don't want to. Our society is polite in such a way that people don't tell people that they are not particularly attractive for dating. There is also the thought that maybe different women like different types of guys, that there should be "someone for everyone," even if some guys may have to search a while for a partner. So, guys keep on dating, long after they should have known that the dating system is not in their favor.

For the bad romantic relationships and the bad divorces, even if a guy happens to hear about them, he doesn't know how common those situations happen. 1% of the time, 50% of the time, 90% of the time? Even if he hears about a high divorce rate number, it's easy for him to think that surely HE'D be able to tell if a particular relationship is a bad idea. He doesn't think about that most divorces probably happen between couples who, at one time, never thought they would get divorced. After all, who gets married thinking that they are likely to divorce later?

A good thing about this MGTOW group is that it just tells guys stuff that maybe they don't want to believe, but that it is probably better for them to know, long-term. Then, they can at least have more information for them to decide what is best for them. For me, it helped get me out of the loop of try, try, try with dating, only to repeatedly be disappointed (one way or another) each time. I would also feel bad about myself. With this MGTOW group, it doesn't really matter to me anymore if I ever get married, or even ever date again. I learned that there is much more to life, that romantic relationships don't even need to be part of my life at all, for me to be happy. In fact, the wrong romantic relationship (which can happen when a guy thinks that he HAS to find a romantic relationship for him to be happy) could really trash my life.
