I work part time at a restaurant while I do a full schedule at University. Today a couple came in and as I was finishing their order and all the guy says "she doesn't let me drink soda" and after that in a semi joking fashion "never get married". I didn't push the conversation further since we were busy at the restaurant. This is not the first time either, it feels like a nearly daily occurrence while at work that a guy is advising to not get married.

For the most part, the only truly remarkable marriages I've seen tend to be very old pairs -70+. How long do you all think it will be before this civilization completely collapses due to the family breakdown & unfaithfulness? Speaking from an US perspective, I am aware that other industrialized nations are experiencing the same phenomenon as well.
