Something similar happened to me years ago. I reported a female coworker who threatened to punch me in the face. I took the complaint to the upper management who was a male. He tried to downplay my complaint saying "you don't think a woman would actually punch you.. would you? ". I was pissed that he said. Never the less, he carried out the appropriate action. Confronted and interrogated her at a separate time. She admits to it (surprisingly) and gets a write up for. Then we had to meet face to face. She then tries to downplay her own threats too at first saying "cmon thinking ghost... This sucks. I am just a little girl" (Although she is a grown woman that is older than me) then I refuse to accept that excuse. She apologizes. Days after the incident, the women in the workplace began to make snide sarcastic remarks and mocking me. I was shocked cause one of those women I considered her a friend. Reporting her was like a double edge sword . So I can relate to anon... This is exactly what happened

In most office environments a guy would have to end up leaving sooner or later.

A lot of people would hate him for doing that, and he'd also be seen as a liability by HR & management, regardless of what really happened.

Might be an unpopular opinion here but this was very childish. He was into her and the flirting but screwed her over by the same system he thought was unjust.
