Guess who picks up the female waitress slack by default? That's why you don't see too many male waiters anymore. Whenever there's hard work to be done, the women always look to the men to bail them out.

My mother was a waitress back in Las Vegas's glory days, 70s-80s. Back then she said the male waiters were always tipped better than the female waitresses.

I wouldn't become a waiter if you can avoid it. Women in food retail are awful, both peers and superiors

I had several waiter jobs as a younger man. I found that men generally tipped well. Women tipped somewhat less well but would always tip me, a man higher than my fellow female servers.

The biggest problem with women customers was that they always had an absurd amount of demands about substitutions and extra this and hold that and can I get this on the side and can I get that instead of this.

Men tended to be “ill have a steak and a baked potato and a beer.” Easy peasy for the most part.

When men WERE douchebags it was almost always when they were around women they were trying to impress.

Not a waiter, but I was a bartender some years ago. I had to do table orders for drinks from time to time.

My experience of women is that if they’re in a group of all women they won’t hesitate to grab you by the ass/crotch and have no shame telling you how gorgeous you are and how much they want to fuck you. I’ve been groped and even kissed at work by stray lecherous women.

Some people are going to be cunts no matter what you do. If that's going to hurt your feelgoods, get a labor job where you get to hang with the guys, get strong, and get paid to do it.
