having lived in Asia for 10 years, there is one large difference you see when talking to women. and the women here are aware of it and say it, basically they'll say,

"american women are different, in Asia its expected that when you marry a woman you will take care of her family including her parents as they get older".

it's true, often in Asia marriage is less about love and about family support and a girl marrying someone that can support her and her extended family as they tend to have larger families and less medical insurance.

when i first moved here, I thought, oh girls here are more greedy or think about money more easily than American woman. now i get it.....American women don't talk about that stuff because the law already supports it. they can sell their fake love and romance bullshit story and act moral because when they act immoral the law will support them and give them all the money anyways, no need to even discuss it with the man in America.
