So I went yesterday to get a couple of things I needed like a toothbrush, some t-shirts and underwear. As I'm approaching the entrance to the store, I notice a couple walking in ahead of me. I noticed them mostly because they were overdressed for the mall. He had on, what I would call, dressy casual clothes. She was wearing a short dressy-dress and dress shoes (heals, of course) even though she was a tall girl without the heels. She had a nice body and the dress looked good on her. Her face was somewhat attractive. They were both in their mid-twenties. He was over 6 feet. Probably about 6' 2" and not bad looking. But he looked "soft". They were holding hands as they entered the store. When I passed them, I could tell by the look on his face and the way he carried himself that she had him absolutely wrapped. The lack of respect she felt for him was obvious in her body language as well.

Once they got inside, she took the lead and he followed where ever she went. I went up stairs to get what I needed, went through the check out and headed to a second store. Well, there they were again right in front of me as I exited the store.

This time things were different. This time, she walked a couple of feet in front of him, and he followed with his head down, carrying packages of whatever stuff she bought, while she was talking on her phone, ignoring him.

Then I exited the second store and the mall, and headed back to my car. There they were in the parking lot, heading to their car, her several feet in front, still talking on her phone, and him following, again with his head down, and even more packages.

It was obvious that he wasn't there because they were on an outing together. He was there to pay for what she wanted, and to carry the packages, which he did like a good little beta, while she yukked it up on her phone and lead him around by the nose.

It was truly pathetic and reminded me, once more, why I say Never Again.
