A double edged sword would imply somehow it injures MGTOW - I think MGTOW is more a hammer of truth. I can understand them not wanting their users posts used as examples. Silly to ban you though, as it does nothing against you continuing to linking posts.

Ask Men Over 30 will ban you, too. Some poor guy was getting murdered in his divorce proceeding and I suggested visiting this site for some good insights. Not five minutes later I got a message saying I was banned.

Look at one of the rules posted on the sidebar of that reddit though:

Crossposting to other subreddits will result in an instaban.

The mods there probably don't like the MGTOW reddit, but even if you'd linked to the feminism reddit, you'd still have gotten banned.

A lot of reddits have these blanket rules against cross posting. But there are sites which will make a copy of any Internet page (https://archive.org/web/ is best one). Its then safe to link to that copy.

I got banned from twoxchromosomes for pointing out that women outlive men, which proves that women have much easier lives. They saw that as oppression because old ladies were being left without men to give them money.
