I believe I can speak to this directly. I am an older engineer in the US. I grew up in a time when weren't quire as bad, and men were still allowed to be men. I was brought up with tradcon beliefs about sex, marriage, and love. I was almost as naive as all the other men around me, except that I had already started noticing red pills about women, and adopting redpill ideas even before it was a thing. I dated a lot, had a lot of well protected sex (The AIDS epidemic was a blessing and a curse). At some point I found a woman that I liked, and we got together. I married her, and we are together still today. She's behaved badly now and again, but nothing on the order of the thots today, and genuinely seems to feel remorse when she screws up. She does not cheat, or any of the other thot behaviors, you'll have to trust me, I know, but will not go into detail. I've been with her going on 2 decades. One might think that she is an NAWALT, but anyone who does, I'll stop you right there. She may not be now or in the past, but there are no guarantees in life, certainly when it comes to women. She could AWALT tomorrow. Do I love her, yes. Do I trust her, for the most part, yes. Would I recommend my path to any other man in this day and age, not on your life. Simply put you never really know the mind of a woman. They are orders of magnitude more duplicitious and manipulative now. The can keep up their charade for as long as you doubt them, then the moment you are comfortable turn on you. So, what am I saying? This, if you think you have an NAWALT, you appreciate he company, she acts appropriately, etc; there is nothing at all wrong with playing your hand with her out to conclusion. That is what I am doing. Just because you suspect the house you are living in has termites you don't burn it down. You find evidence of termites, then burn it down if need be. The thing is though, you never have the luxury of not looking for evidence of infestation, you remain unsure and vigilent until you move.

Where I to do it all over again the only thing I would change is marriage. I would never have done it. There is no reason beyond financial incentive for a woman for marriage. Cohabitation is a bad idea too, though it has been ok for me so far.

If you take nothing else away from my post, take this: It is ok to engage with a woman on your terms if you deem her worthy of it. With that though you take on the responsibility of watching out for, and protecting yourself vigilantly every day she is in your life. If you avoid kids, cohabitation, and marriage generally speaking, the worst you can expect is to have your heart torm out by betrayal, and to learn a valuable lesson the hard way.never trust her with your birth control, never trust her with your finances, never trust her loyalty. Enjoy what you can in the relationship, but never assume its perminance.

I'm in the same situation. Basically, i'd say avoid upgrading your integration to marriage and basically know what you wont tolerate. If she's doing nothing wrong, then there's not much need to cut her free. But women are ever-changing and if you notice she is changing into the basic bitch you thought she wasn't, you kick her ass to the moon. The most powerful weapon you have is the ability to at a moment's notice, kick her to the curb. A very dedicated man will be a very devastated man. Stay as long as you feel you're being treated right and not being used, i'd say. This answer will likely go against the grain of the other MGTOW comments.

No. You need to have your own experiences. You can read anything you want, but until you have tested and experienced it first hand, you can't possibly take anything for faith. Especially something as radical as MGTOW.

I was blinded and couldn't see the red flags when I was hanging around a woman I really liked for 4 months or so.

Then she started telling me about this simp she recently reconnected with, and then she started getting cagey and eventually went swazey and blocked me on FB, when she found out how I felt.

That was almost a month ago, and now looking at it after recovering the emotional destruction from this.

she freaked the fuck out and got all PMSy when her roomate did not say she would miss her if she went away for a week
she has lived with her roomate for 7 years, and goes pretty near everywhere with her (vacation and work xmas parties)
narcissistic (well every women is)
only dated guys she met online and they all lived at least 2 hours away one away
stopped talking to her dad and brother because he has been suffering from mental health problems
is currently on LTD with no plans to go back

I personally have a very low tolerance for basic decency negeligence when it comes to being in a relationship. I won't hesitate to leave and make sure my own personal resources are intact when doing so.

As mentioned in other comments, MGTOW will still be here should things go wrong, learn what you can and adapt to any situation as best you can. That's what part of this is all about, keeping you informed so you can better live your life, for your life.

Whatever lets you wake up and appreciate where you are and what you're doing.

Check common law precedents and common law alimony precedents in your area.

Then google the following “paying child support for another mans child”

Then google “lying ex got me fired from job / expelled from school”

Mah-dude.... you never truely know a woman until she is your ex, and / or you’re....

Things are great? No red flags?

You don’t know this woman.... like at all.

You don’t know what she is capable of, and how far she will go if she begins to believe she can get “something better”, or “something different”

Reason = because every man who had a relationship with a woman, did so believing the same exact thing as you.

I’d say, enjoy it while it lasts, keep yourself emotionally distant. A good method of that is keeping other interests close at hand. I also won’t date anyone that lives close to me. 45 minute drive and she must drive it because I, unlike them, have a lot of shit going on and can’t be bothered to waste that amount of time. If you aren’t vested emotionally, it doesn’t matter what kind of shit she pulls, or attempts to pull.

I had this conversation with someone else and used the analogy that i really liked. Women are like a gun. They are expensive, fun, and I would love to have all of them, but I really love mine. And with that, you always treat a gun as if it's loaded, because as much as it is fun, it can also be life ending. It needs service, and sometime some parts need to get replaced in time, and even in your old age with the well taken care of gun for decades, you will still love that gun. And even that gun may never end a life in your entire lifetime, you still treat that gun as if it's loaded, you always protect yourself, because you never know when it might pop off.

Personally no, a preemptive strike isn't necessary I don't believe.

The big thing is that you need to just be aware, and understand your part of the decisions that might lead to what is usually inevitable. I think that's what burns most of us is that hindsight - the feeling that we were burned by someone that is pretty dumb and childish, but we ignored it for too long.

If you pay attention, you will see the end of the track long ahead of a lot of guys, and it won't surprise you.

A lot of guys here might say counter to this, but you decide.

You're an engineer, be an engineer in this too.

Good for you OP. You deciding to do what you feel is good for you is going your own way. You do you.

Only thing I would say is don't throw caution to the wind. Get that pre-nup (although I have heard of pre-nups being nullified in Europe). Keep your finances separate than hers. You can be with her, but always respect yourself.

If you don't want kids, get a vasectomy.

If things don't work out between you and her, you know where MGTOW is, and it'll welcome you back.
