Well, all of humanity's existence stem from a man's inability to sit quiet in a room.

Sitting in quiet cave.
Wanted to eat. So, went out for some food.
Ran across strange man with sagging chest and missing pee thing.
Get weird, funny feeling in stomach
Throw strange man on ground and stick pee thing in weird gash
Many moons go by. Strange man come back with tinier man.
It hungry. So, go out for some food
Run across other strange man.
Get weird, funny feeling again.
Many moons pass and now two strange men with strange tinier men follow me around asking for some God damned attention when all I wanted was some peace and quiet.
Found a place for all of us to live, call it city.
Strange men want to join club of other men.
Found religion to keep them busy.
We men setup a nice quiet room where we can read or chat with each other.
These strange men, now we call them women, storm in and demand we pay attention to them.
Get strange, weird idea. Take shovel and turn it into way of killing other men.
Us men go out into the great beyond to conquer other men and their women. Live in god damned peace and quiet with other men in camps.
Other men get same idea. We must kill them before they kill us.
Holy shit, we have the Mediterranean under our control.
Build big places for women too go spend this stupid shiny coin thing so us men can lay around all day doing nothing.
Oh, fuck, they've developed tanks and we're gonna have to put a stop to it.
Oh, fuck, they're letting their women have equal rights.
Fuck, there is no more peace and quiet and everything is run by women.

Sitting quietly in a room alone is a time for introspection. We don’t have that very much besides maybe in the shower but even then people try to bring their phones or whatever with them. I think this is what has lead to some of the more crazy females we see today. Without a reason to engage in introspection all problems must not be their fault. I think this is what happens when “the switch” is flipped. A woman’s time that would be reserved for introspection was filled with making sure the kids were taken care of and so all the problems became “not her fault” and she would go crazy. Men have an instinctual drive to improve so they manage to avoid this. But women don’t so unless that introspection time is basically forced on them they don’t do it at all. And that’s what the smartphone has done. There are other factors of course but if 90% of your time is spent getting dug out and instead of doing nothing for the remaining 10% your mindlessly on your phone. Then you never stop to think about what your doing now and how you could improve. Could be crazy talk but it’s just something I cooked up after reading the article.

Hard to apply it in our time, since we have computers, can read/watch/play games, can visit other parts of planet through google maps, all from the comfort of our room. But definitely true in his time.
