I am considering posting a weekly recommendation of what I am listening to and or reading. Today I am listening to the full BBC Radio broadcast of I, Claudius. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18765.I_Claudius?from_search=true. The audio program is excellent, classic story of terrible people backstabbing their way to top. Most of which are women. Though really it is much more about the state of Rome during that time. The book is told in the first person perspective of Claudius and tells a story on how by using his physical inabilities he survives the palace intrigues and eventually becomes the emperor of Rome. To me he's the classic runt of the litter forced to become spymaster by manipulators and backstabbers. If you are interested, I can do a weekly posting about whatever content I happen to be consuming that day or week.
