Buddhism and Hinduism are the real MGTOW. Both teach that our external reality, the world around us, is complete bullshit (not real) and not really worth a damn. Destroying the illusion is liberation.

Buddhism:

Saṃsāra (Sanskrit, Pali; also samsara) in Buddhism is the beginning-less cycle of repeated birth, mundane existence and dying again.[1] Samsara is considered to be dukkha, unsatisfactory and painful,[2] perpetuated by desire and avidya (ignorance), and the resulting karma.[3][4][5]

Rebirths occur in six realms of existence, namely three good realms (heavenly, demi-god, human) and three evil realms (animal, ghosts, hellish).[note 1] Samsara ends if a person attains nirvana,[note 2] the "blowing out" of the desires and the gaining of true insight into impermanence and non-self reality.[7][8][9]

Hinduism:

Vedanta school Maya is a prominent and commonly referred to concept in Vedanta philosophies.[62][63] Maya is often translated as "illusion", in the sense of "appearance".[64][65] Human mind constructs a subjective experience, states Vedanta school, which leads to the peril of misunderstanding Maya as well as interpreting Maya as the only and final reality. Vedantins assert the "perceived world including people are not what they appear to be".[66] There are invisible principles and laws at work, true invisible nature in others and objects, and invisible soul that one never perceives directly, but this invisible reality of Self and Soul exists, assert Vedanta scholars. Māyā is that which manifests, perpetuates a sense of false duality (or divisional plurality).[67] This manifestation is real, but it obfuscates and eludes the hidden principles and true nature of reality. Vedanta school holds that liberation is the unfettered realization and understanding of these invisible principles – the Self, that the Self (Soul) in oneself is same as the Self in another and the Self in everything (Brahman).[

Buddha got married and had a son, but then he left his family and went his own way in pursuit to find the way to end suffering. He reached buddhahood and his wife Yashodara and his son Rahula then followed Buddha to listen to his teachings and become his students/disciples (bhikkhu and bhikkuni). I think both Yashodara and Rahula attained Arahantship.

I've said it before but I'll say it again. Buddhism is the same as all the other religions. They all have cool values and many of them realize that women are typically bad and lesser to men. Buddhism is just trendy.

All religions have the common goal to control and influence people, with fantastic stories, epic tales etc. They may know some of the truths about life, truths that you can learn aswell by living your life and studying. It sounds bad, but a lot, if not all, religions were founded to take the fruits of work done by other people, all the youths and the apprentices and the people giving them money are playing their game. And as long as man will base his life on belief it will never end. A simple proof that it is a scam is religious people talking of afterlife, thing that no one knows, I can assure you that because the same person never come back from it.
