The narration, the character development, the semi-historical nature of the film. It's a classic Scorsese film. I should be enthralled.

Instead, I feel angry. Rothstein is a genius gambler, runs a tight ship, watches your money more closely than the fucking IRS. And what trips him up? Is it drinking? Nope. Is it Gambling? Nope. It's a fucking woman. What is it with this guy? He's madly in love with a gold digging tart who can't let got of a pimp ex boyfriend because she's good a cards!?

I mean seriously. I know the film was set in the 50s/60s but Jesus Christ at least be a good Jewish boy and marry a girl from the shtetl or Crown Heights or something.

I'm not even mad at her. She's white trash. What else do you expect? But him. He's got more brains than most men and he's still gets fucked up.

I'm pissed watching this movie. I'm fucking pissed.

Edit: This is just pathetic. The Jew, The Italian, the Woman...the trio of them...they just make me sick all of them.

It's no wonder Heat beat out this movie in terms of Scorsese classics. How could you look at any of the main characters and take it seriously!?

It devolved from a cool gangster movie to a fucking love triangle.
