I've been following this movement for awhile. I've been interested in a lot of the philosophy. Moreso the independent life style. I don't hate women, but it has come to a time where I must be cautious of them at every turn. Recently a woman made very suggestive sexual advances toward me, speaking directly of penetration. When I tried to reciprocate her advances (I tried to say some flirty stuff back) she recoiled and made me out to look like some kind of predator. I have proof that I'm telling the truth but all she has to do is say I'm victim-blaming or that I'm implying that "she was asking for it" when she in fact was. I didn't do anything sexual because I'm afraid of sexual harassament stuff but just by responding to her statements (I didn't say anything violent or rapey) I put my reputation in jeapordy. Rape is bad, sexual harassament is bad and it's really easy to get lumped into that. The best way to hit about it is treat women as completely non-sexual beings. Even if they approach you.
