Celibacy quote

A friend and his wife texted me the above quote as they know I stopped dating and have been celibate for approximately 4 years now. They tell me I'm a "catch" and have so much to offer a woman in a relationship. Funny, they never mention what a woman can offer me (but, based on that quote they sent me I am assuming they believe it is sex).

The quote made me laugh as I think celibacy is not self-abuse but, rather, self-preservation.

I agree.

I regularly abuse myself with nice whiskey, craft beer, international travel, quiet time with nature, treating homeless guys to a meal (try and do this instead of giving them cash since I find most have an interesting story), and hobbies such as mountain biking.
