Well yeah, we can so far to say that most of life problems can somehow be attributed to 'not enough money' but idk, I agree with you but I want to say that what you posit is not as black and white as you make it sound like, I don't want to think that 'not enough money' is the cause of problems in a marriage (when it is). To me, what you said kinda makes it seem like it's moneys fault that there are problems, when in reality the poor decision was to go ahead with a relationship and marriage when finances would not allow for an optimal and beneficial marriage to prosper. It's like how some will argue that poor people shouldn't keep poppin out kids. Ya know, if, in the foreseeable future you do not see finances between yourself and you wife improving to the point of prosperity, you shouldn't marry. But, people don't think enough about those things. No foresight.

Sorry for this lengthy post (feel free to not respond), but, I was thinking about this earlier. I think that technology has really changed the way that the societal constructs of the previous 100+ years are conducted. For one, I can't seem to fathom how having a child today does not change people. Women will have a baby and then continue to live for themselves as an individual. I want to term it 'societally accepted schizophrenia'. Women and men will have a child, but, because they have a snapchat life to keep up with, a facebook appearance to maintain, and instagram personality to fulfill, ect, they have easy access via a cellphone to maintain illusions of a certain lifestyle as if the lifestyle that they portray on social media to their peers is in addition to the real life they must live a.k.a reality. So these people have children, but they have other appearances to keep up. This leads to women saying "I get $800 a month in child support but the kid is only getting $200 a month. I need new shoes and I deserve my nails and hair done (to flaunt on social media)". These kinds of people aren't the women and men our parents grew up with. Once our parents parent's had children, that was the only life they had to keep appearances up with. But today parents have options. They can be a big hustler on instagram flaunting pictures of guns, cash, cars, their nails, their boobs, ect. They have to have cool snap stories to increase their perceived social value among peers, and what is crazier is that we have tinder and other dating apps which enable those fractured personalities to keep dating and keep jumping from person to person. The worst part of all of this is that society encourages this behavior. I don't have a child, wife or any other obligations. I have 2 dogs. I absolutely do not have time in my day to update social media every hour and not get bogged down with the few responsibilities I do have like eating, sleeping, fitness and other life enhancing routines. I can't imagine having a child or other reality affecting responsibilities while trying to keep up with artificial peers. How does one have the mental stamina to keep these social lives going and give adequate attention to a child? They can't. Its already starting to show and it's only going to get worse. These types of peoples will experience a painful realization one day that they raised a shitty family with low intelligence and piss poor values all because they devoted their limited attention (time) to multiple social media personalities. Thats bipolarity at least, schizophrenia once the anxiety hits because they have to sacrifice appearances or raising a sub-par human being; they have to choose which of their lives get the most of their attention/mental resources.

I'm very worried for this social media society moving forward. Giving people who shouldn't have options ways to spend time on things that are trivial in the long run is going to fuck up, and create an entire class of people. I don't use social media. I don't even have a cellphone and If I had a child right now, I would have so many more hours a day to devote to the upbringing of that child which other children will not receive from parents addicted to social media. Because of that, I think I would easily be able to raise a better human being than the majority of the current population. I truly believe that people should be required to obtain a license or permission to access technology. It has enabled the worst of humanity to be accepted. Addictive and life destroying entities are outlawed and punished, but not social media.
