I was circumcised and I’ve never given it a second thought. I don’t feel mutilated or violated or any of that.

Ive never had any issues with erections or sexual pleasure. I’ve never been ashamed of what my penis looks like.

Step one, as /u/dogwoodcat mentioned, is stop paying for it, and make them pay out of pocket for the cosmetic surgery. If there’s a true medical reason, and there are in a minuscule percentage of births, pay for it, but other than that, make the parents pay and watch it disappear.

Second, get rid of it and all religious garbage affecting children. Sorry religious people, but your barbaric child mutilation practices need to end. Tough. Your sick child rape desires need to be stamped out of history. I’d get on board before your religions themselves get stamped out of history.

Third an aggressive campaign against people that circumcise. As in, make the social ramifications painful. If dip shits can protest abortion maybe they can spend a few minutes protesting circumcision.

Retarded parents need to be taught how to clean a foreskin, and children shown how to wash their genitalia. If you can teach brushing your teeth and wiping your asshole, you can clean a ~~duck~~ dick and show the owner how to.

Men who are circumcised at birth on average have a penis that is 1/2 of an inch shorter than men who are circumcised later in life. The average penis size of white males in the USA is 5.5" whereas white men in the UK have an average penis size closer to 6". White men from the UK and the US are strongly related genetically, yet what is causing this difference? A steady diet of fish and chips and tea? No. Circumcision was FAR more prevalent in the US than the UK for a long time. I was circumcised at birth, and my penis is 6.25", but my father and brother who weren't are both closer to 7". Something to think about before you butcher the very physical manifestation of your infant sons masculinity.

Oh yeah. I realized how fucked this whole issue was when I was 20. Ignore the numbers if I’m off... but imagine 1/3 of the world’s population accepting genital mutilation as a common practice.

There are several groups advocating against the forced mutilation of boys and many pro-choice groups who lump both abortion and circumcision into the “my body, my choice” movement. It doesn’t get as much attention because as far as I know, there are no government bodies trying to force male mutilation whereas terminating a pregnancy is still a big no-no in many places.

I don’t think circumcision should be allowed until a child is old enough to consent (15, maybe?). We need to take that power away from parents. Unfortunately, as long as people still follow religious doctrines, this won’t happen because anyone can claim religious exemption.

Amen to that. And have the physician kicked out of his/ her office when violating that law. Indeed there are some rare medical conditions which makes circ necessary. About the same rate as abortion is a necessity. Medical consensus is if a physician is forced to chose between the live of the mother or the fetus, the choice goes to the mother. Might sound harsh but it makes sense. The fetus is already 2 steps behind in those cases and is likely to be born severely handicapped. While the mother is proven healthy enough to produce offspring. I.o.w. better luck next time. But those "commodity abortions" I find medical malpractice.

Hi everyone! As someone that got a circumcision at age 21 I can tell you this is not the hill to die on. Circumcised penis’ are cleaner, more sensitive, and bigger than the alternative.

I know because I have used both.
