I would keep in mind that you probably want to write the easiest paper imaginable. Parroting back what your proffesor wants will usually get you a better grade. Its up to you though

Don't stir shit. One day you will be writing your master thesis and your professor WILL remember you (if you quit at a bachelor's you wasted your time). Also, major in something that will actually get you a job. If you're not programming or doing maths, you're better off entering an apprenticeship in a more practical field. And again, don't stir shit. Keep your thoughts online anonymously. If co-workers or fellow students find out about your views you WILL be ostracized (deservedly so, no one wants to hang out with people ranting about gender wars non stop).

Also, you're misinterpreting the assignment. What you write isn't nearly as important as how you write.

Depends on what you want, and the professor / TA's reputation. If you want an easy A, or the professor has history of going after students not spouting the party line, write a generic paper agreeing with the professor.

If you want a deserved A, disagree well. In my experience, professors in academia will honor the method you've used to come to a different conclusion, as long as it is solid, even if it is not the one they agree with. If you choose to go this way, make sure to make your argument bulletproof, and find a counter-argument for any major points the professor brought up during lectures. But at the same time, make sure you stay on topic. Don't make it look like you're writing an attack against their pet theory. It's a tight line to walk.

You're paying significant amount of money per credit, so you may as well use the chance to learn how to academically argue your opponent.

I'm not a big fan of parroting the professor and not rocking the boat.

Part of our education is being able to articulate our ideas given a hostile/skeptical audience and defend them. There will be a time in the real world where you're going to either have to defend yourself and your viewpoints, or it's something very important to you where you're going to want to. These experiences all help contribute to navigating the minefield that is political discourse.

I myself wouldn't let this opportunity pass. It's a learning experience in itself.
