To quote Robert De Niro's character in the film "Heat", I am alone but I am not lonely.

Working independently and thus not working in an office or having coworkers, living in an area away from any family members, and having no significant other. I could go days at a time without seeing or speaking with another person.

There is no one who would check up on me. If something happened while I was home... well, I don't want to think about it.

As I am growing older and starting to unfortunately pay more attention to some health issues, I have concerns on the long term outlook in this sense.

If I have to go for extensive or significant medical testing, who will drive me to & from the hospital?

If I have a significant medical event while I am home alone, how do I get help?

These are the thoughts that go through my mind. It almost seems like, as against MGTOW as it is, being married would at least guarantee that there's someone who would be there for me (in theory).

Does anyone else have these thoughts? How have you addressed it?
