Yesterday, I was at a concert, and it was amazing-- But I was struck with some differences from another conert I went to late last year.
Last year, I went to a Halestorm concert, it was my 2nd time, and I thought they rocked it the first time, and I've always enjoyed their music, so I decided to go again. And unlike the first time, this time, the other bands playing before them, kept talking about "strong women" (all 3 bands had female leads), and thanking Halestorm for being so inspiring and so on. I believe one of them also talked about another issue regarding a rough childhood, but I'm not sure. Either way, Halestorm still gave a hell of a show and I didn't regret going.
Yesterday, though, I went to a Five Finger Death Punch concert, with Bad Wolves playing first, and Megadeth afterwards. Did they raise any awareness to any topics? Praised some of the "strong men" in the other bands? Well, they did raise some awareness to some topics, but none of them was pointed at men specifically.
First Bad Wolves talked about loss and death-- giving a heads up and time to think about the loved ones in your life that is no longer around. Later, I'm pretty sure they talked a bit about depression.
Megadeth talked about cancer, after the vocalist had recently recovered from cancer himself.
Five Finger Death Punch brought up alcoholism and how 2 of the band members were recovering, having been sober for 2 years, and gave a souvenir to a person in the crowd who was an alcoholic and had been sober for 6 months-- probably something that will keep this person going.
To me, all those topics seem meaningful and important to raise awareness about, and worth supporting each other through. I think it's amazing to see what how the SJW mindset and cultural shift, seems to take away focus from a lot of other really important issues, that people struggle with--
Cheers to the bands and the crowd yesterday, for an amazing concert. And I hope all you MGTOWs out there are having a wonderful weekend!
