I am a Christian, a very devout Christian. That being said, I’m not blind and I see the way the world operates and how women act when it comes to dating. I’m sure many of you are aware the importance of marriage in the Christian Faith, and relying on God to find that said mate, but frankly I just can’t see it happening. I’m genuinely about as Christian as they come in terms of faith, and I have none in this regard, even taking into account “lean not on your own understanding, but trust in God.” I just can’t, I feel like I may trick myself into marrying some girl and then she’ll go behind my back and cheat on me shattering my heart. I have a lot of scarring from a childhood that involved a destroyed family due to cheating and I’m very scared of that happening, I think I’d go mad if it did. That being said, I don’t know what to do about my urges. I’ve never gotten into a super long standing relationship before, but that’s always what I’ve wanted, I’ve cut the girls out (relationship wise) that I haven’t deemed worth pursuing for marriage. Now that I’m going through this however, I just feel so lost. Should I just be a celibate for the rest of my life because I know I’m never going to find a good and stable marriage, or should I just screw around and enjoy my youth (thus violating my faith as I’ve never had sex before). I’m only 19 and don’t wanna see my life pass me by, but in the same hand the thought of giving into sin like that is killing me. One side leads to no relief EVER and on the other I sin. There’s no win, but I don’t know what to do, please help me.
