Hello MGTOW,

I'm writing an article about the impact of growing differences between men and women in higher education in my country, The Netherlands. As a product of this trend, there is a socially visible group of highly educated single women, particularly in larger (university) cities. Less visible to the public eye however, is the growing number of lower educated men in more rural areas. This group is the main focus of my article.

I've been following this subreddit for a couple of months, and I'd really like to come in contact with members who are willing to share their story. My aim is to provide context as to why men might want to opt out of the modern mating proces, and explore a possible link with a declined market value for the 'Regular Joe'.

In full disclosure: I myself do not abide by the MGTOW ideology, as could be illustrated by my longterm relationship with my girlfriend. I am however quite intrigued by this counter culture. My aim is not to either support or discredit the movement, but to gain and give insight in motivations of individual MGTOW members.

My own experiences, coming from a relatively small community and having worked in a 100% male workplace (a cheese factory) as a side job for years, have steered me into exploring this subject. In these environments I've encountered many men who are either divorced, structurally single or nonparticipant in the dating process.
