It's a base human thing. Even our fairy tales do this.

Cinderella was victimized by her sisters and step mother. The wizard of oz movie had everyone victimized by the evil witches. The other version (with the pov of the witch) had the witch victimized by dorothy.

Harry Potter was victimized by his aunt, uncle, and cousin. And then later by the ministry of magic.

It speaks to a base part of us. We like to view ourselves as victims.

Even revenge flicks are about the protagonist getting victimized and then getting even.

So movies tend to use either that or it's a story about a mystery, or it's a story about sex.

Movies where the protagonist is just having a good day just don't often make good stories. It's easier to hit those basic emotions of people.

Here's a bunch of non-politically geared, realistic, deeply thought out, masculine (in the positive connotations) movies. I reccomend the Manchurian Candidate! It was about propaganda and brainwashing, it was so controversial they banned it after the Kennedy assassination

We have to be careful and not fall into victim group think ourselves since we see so many men being taken advantage of and mistreated. I did a little but reassessed my thinking and I just see men's struggles in society as hard lessons to learn so we can move forward. I apply what I have learned from experience and others and all of my personal relationships with family and whomever has strengthened because I am strong.

Whenever I see anything regarding:

"my group is oppressed. we are victims"

I can't help but thinking cause & effect, to wit, either:

The vast majority of the members of that group are pretty stupid: easily suckered, duped, manipulated, trapped, etc.*

OR
They're pretty much ALL very weak -- physically unable, or mentally unwilling -- to fight back, lift the "oppression"; or perhaps biologically (inherently) ill-equipped to live on their own.

OR
Some of the members of that group -- most likely/especially prior "leaders" of it -- have betrayed the rest.

* Cf Even if only by their own "desires": the parable about capturing wild animals with "free" grain and incrementally building a fence around that spot.

Its been ongoing since at least the 90s. Only difference is that due to the information revolution, people can be clearly shown the hypocracy

Like how movie stars can lecture us about morality while they make millions and have private estates and the average person lives in a shoe box and makes minimum wage

Or Mark Zuckerberg can fence off his entire neighborhood but lecture us about inclusivity.

Or Oprah gets credit for being a rape survivor while at the same time channeling girls to Harvey Weinstein

Or Al Gore lecturing us on pollution while he flies in a private jet

Or the Democrats crying about a rigged election while they spent 8 years rigging elections around the globe and even rigged their own primaries

Or idiots claiming Islam is a religion of peace while the global jihad death toll continues to grow every day

Or the American swine falsly liberating Kuait which al Ba’athists know is truly the 19th province of Iraq wait forget this one

I’ve been a part time actor for most of my life, and I’m actually starting to feel that this might work out to my advantage as I’m getting older. I’m balding, so I can always get rolls playing the dimwit husband (I don’t even want to say white, because if you notice, there are starting to be more and more dimwit black husbands in commercials and shows too, just because you’re a black guy doesn’t mean women are going to let you look smart on TV) and I’m also in good shape and look sinister with a shaved head, so I can play the evil racist white guy too (that one only works if you’re white though)

Marxist playbook; world is split into two groups:

Oppressors and Oppressed. All of the SJW/Feminist/IllegalImmigrant/PC-Culture stuff is seen through that particular "lens."

And it is pointless to argue, as anyone who "assaults" them with facts will naturally be seen as an "oppressor."

Best move is no move.
