It's not unbridled capitalism. It's cronyism, it's lobbying. It's regulations designed to cause bottlenecks and prevent competition.

The problem with the US healthcare system isn't that it's private. It's not. Its a terrible mix of state regulations and artificial limits, adding to the fact that insurance is sold to employers, so the actual customer (you) never really gets any choice, never sees the costs, and can't really shop around even for the non-emergency issues.

What you’d want is to empower those individuals who usually go unheard or have differing ideas so as to allow to them to contribute but also allow everyone to make a contribution. like...a free market?

I'm curious what made her admit it was a false report. Did she just feel bad for the people she screwed over? Did she get scared? Did the detective figure it out and question her enough for her to break?

Pick one. If judges are going blatantly lie during confirmation hearings then they need to hear some free speech. Nope. Free speech is not the same thing as trying to intimidate judges. The fact that you think they are 'blatantly lying' is not relevant. Just because you disagree with them doesn't make it ok. And note this started happening before they even made their ruling. Dont confuse business with healthcare. So you think an abortion clinic isn't a business? Profit or non, it's still a busin…

You're probably right. However, this just means the actual legislative branch of the federal government, (congress, senate, and potus) need to enact an actual amendment or law making abortion legal. It shouldn't be legislated from the bench. Laws shouldn't be created by judges.
/r/PussyPassDenied26/06/22 12:58 AM

Really? Can you cite where any member of scotus, ever, suggested it was ok to harass women? I mean, there's a difference between protesting in front of a business and protesting in front of someone's house. You can't stop free speech. But it's not the same thing as doing it in front of someone's house. And there's an actual federal law preventing protests in front of a judges house. It's a matter of trying to intimidate judges.
/r/PussyPassDenied26/06/22 12:55 AM

Then it's a great opportunity for the legislative branch to pass an actual law blocking those state laws, rather than trying to use the courts to legislate. I mean, we DO have a democrat president, don't we?
/r/PussyPassDenied26/06/22 12:51 AM

Not sure wtf is going on. The country hasn't banned abortions. SCOTUS has simply reversed a decision that was basically legislating from the bench, which shouldn't have happened. No state, has far as I know, currently has a ban on abortions. And nothing is preventing the actual legislature from passing an amendment that prevents any state from banning abortions. Also, threats to scotus by parading in front of the judge's homes is a felony, if I remember right. If someone on the right had done th…

The person was fired due to bad PR. I agree with much of what you said but not a couple of things. It was bad PR, but it was bad PR for the whole industry, not just her employer. Sure, she might not have performed misconduct in taking care of her patients, but joking about it in public I would classify as misconduct. And it's not necessarily just about death. A lawyer wouldn't joke about screwing over his clients, in social media, without risking sanctions by the bar. A programmer wouldn't joke …

This is exactly it. If you're an airline pilot, you don't post videos where you joke about crashing the plane or fucking over the passengers. If you're a fireman, you don't make joke videos about leaving people in a burning house because they annoy you. If you're a doctor, you don't post joke videos about ignoring a patient's cancer. Heck, I'm just a programmer, and I wouldn't even privately joke about screwing over any of my clients, whether they annoy the fuck out of me or not, much less actua…

Yeah sorry but I don't believe you're reading that correctly. You can be anorexic without actually having significant low weight. Even the initial description you linked is "Anorexia nervosa is a severe psychiatric disorder characterized by starvation and malnutrition," One of the key words there is malnutrition. I happen to know because a family member of mine was diagnosed with it without being significantly underweight. And there's no need to dismiss what I've linked by calling it social medi…

some. But she never got skinny. I gotta say, I'm disappointed with this subreddit. I expected people to be less automatically downvoting people just because they don't jump on the bandwagon of groupthink. I wasn't even disagreeing that the woman doesn't have anexoria. I was just trying to let people know that all anorexics are not super skinny.

https://spoonuniversity.com/lifestyle/can-you-be-overweight-and-have-anorexia Not defending the woman. Just saying it's not impossible for overweight people to have anexoria. Literally a family member of mine had it and was still significantly overweight. Required medical attention.

FYI, while she's no 'plus size model' but grossly overweight, anexorics aren't only extremely thin. It's a mental illness that causes eating disorders, not just starvation.

Honestly I don't see an 11 year old boy saying that as being wrong. Especially as it's to his/her parent. If he (or she) said something actually sexual, that would be different. Just my opinion.

What was her complaint? Too loud? Just didn't like the type of music? I mean, I can understand if it's too loud but she really shouldn't try to touch the equipment. Sometimes DJ's will play the music so loud that it's deafening. Ok. I admit it. I much prefer quiet relaxation over loud party music. Especially if it's someone else insisting on everyone hearing it.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I didn't know about the first part, but it wouldn't be the first time that the media claimed one thing and it turned out that person was actually the victim.

Ok. Sure. She couldn't explain the bloody nose, and she was witnessed 'walking in an aggressive manner' and pulled the kid out of class. Still only allegedly gave her the bloody nose though. His point was that Victoria secret is virtue signalling because they won't hire women with mastectomies as models. I get that but I don't understand how that's a pussypass. Nor do I understand how it's been denied. He's calling them on it at the bus. The company likely doesn't give a crap as this isn't making any kind of news except here.

This is why I won't buy expensive shit. I've already had one neighbor stomp my flowers down because he was angry that I asked him not to let his dog pee on them. And someone shot my car with a bb gun. After this crap, I just let my lawn get covered in weeds.

I don't know what the fuck is wrong with people who throw a fit in public. It only makes them look childish. I understand getting angry at a restaurant for screwing up the order or cheating me, but physical violence only makes the attacker the automatic loser. What's even more insane is when someone attacks the clerk because they are unable to sell something, such as the ice cream machine being broken.
/r/PussyPassDenied07/09/21 12:56 PM
18

To be fair, her girlfriends were trying to stop her rather than assist her. But yeah wtf. Edit: actually, I'm not sure what I would do either. I'm not sure what I could do when she's attacking. If I were to try to stop her, she'd probably start attacking me too like she did that second guy. However, once she dropped, it's not so bad to get between her and the guy, as the guy is just defending himself.

I'll answer, but I have to ask does it matter? Is there a qualifier for pedophiles and rapists depending on whether seduction was involved? I want to understand your point maybe a little clearer. Yes, it matters. A friend of mine had sex with a 30 year old woman when he was 15. It wasn't the first time he'd had sex. He wasn't traumatized over it. There was no force or violence involved. Being attacked and held down against your will is different than choosing to have sex, even if both are consid…
/r/PussyPassDenied19/07/21 05:29 PM

Yes it matters. It's not AGE. I'm not saying it's not rape. I'm asking whether there was violence and force involved. Everyone's fucking looking for an argument. Fuck.
/r/PussyPassDenied19/07/21 05:26 PM
2

oh gods. I'm not saying it's not rape. I'm saying there's a difference in the degree, whether there was violence involved. Geezus christ, everyone's gotta be "NO, THE PERSON RAPED HIM/HER BECAUSE SHE WAS ONLY 17!" When I was 15, a friend of mine was "raped" by an adult. He had sex "OMG!" with a 30 year old woman. He went after her. He wasn't traumatized. There's a difference between that and being forced.
/r/PussyPassDenied19/07/21 05:25 PM

I can tell you my relative doesn't brag about being raped at 12. Was he literally raped or was he seduced by an older woman? Because while the court views them the same, they can be wildly different.

Honestly, when people buy me gifts, I try to show them I am using them just so they feel good about buying it for me. I'd really rather they didn't though, because it creates a sense of obligation on my part to get them something too. I much prefer giving gifts.

I kind of hate the new double lines they use for faster ordering. At least, I hate it when the person in front of me decides to leave a huge space between him and the car in front of him, letting the next lane jump in front of him thinking he's not ready. Not talking about simply courtesy of alternating, where you let someone who finished ordering before you go ahead, either.

Were you able to get the child support reversed? It's effing terrible that women can put your name down, and it doesn't even go to court before you start getting charged child support. Or if it does go to court, you don't get informed so you can have a chance to fight it. Although even if you do get a chance, chances are the judge will assign you to pay the child support anyway in the interests of the child.

Nope. Just women. And if housewives are going to get paid, that money will be taxed both federally and by state. And the husbands will probably get billed. So effectively we'd just be raising taxes for married people.

We don't have any clue as to why this woman attacked our son. We don't know why! Uh, here's a clue. She thought your son stole her phone? She was fucking wrong, and seriously mishandled the situation. But everyone knew why she was upset. Honestly if it HAD been her phone, she might have been called a hero.

Exactly. It's not that men are scared to buy clothes alone. It's that their wives nag them to go shopping to buy clothes with them. The men don't care if their clothes are older.

I am fat and I don't need people telling me I'm fat. I am perfectly aware of it. I'm working on it, but I didn't get fat overnight, and I won't lose it overnight either. People telling me I'm fat is not motivation for me to lose it. It's motivation for me to not let people see me. However, I'm not looking to be 'accepted' or patronized either. Being fat isn't healthy.

In the 90's, I was shopping for a house. One of the homes I was looking at had a bathroom the normal length but very narrow. Not much wider than the door frame itself. The sink jutted out at least half and maybe 2/3rds of the way to the other wall, and it wasn't a big sink. You'd have to be slender to be able to get past it to the toilet.

While I sort of agree with you here, I don't know that the current military is any different. It's the same way the police force, back when they legalized alcohol again, decided to push for making marijuana illegal. The police force isn't privatized, and yet we have huge corruption problems, civil forfeiture, and basically an entire drug war started by them, because they wanted money for their departments.

I am aware some places have a privatized version of public services As far as I knew, the US is mostly has privatized trash, but I've only known where I live for sure. But not everything needs to be a privatized business. For example the prison system to some extent is privatized and they make money depending on how many inmates they have. YOU don't get it. It's not a matter of discrimination. If you have a pregnant woman, as a manager, it's on you to make sure she's going to do the work. You can't rely on her telling you she can't. There's no discrimination about it. There's no law saying you can't ask a pregnant woman if she can continue to do the work she's paid to do. I'm curious what her rationale is to blame misogyny for it. Is she claiming men chased women out of studying stem? Or maybe a huge percentage of the few women who did study stem got married by the stem men, and decided to be sahw's instead?

Yes you want your expenses to buy good debt like duplexes and rental properties and commercial buildings for rent. All of which are good debt as long as you profit on them after paying mortgages. Dude. Good debt is one thing, but taking huge losses is entirely another thing. You can’t honestly be telling me Trump is a failure in business. Yes, yes I can. But there's no point in arguing with you as you've decided to ignore the facts I've already provided. He may have failed a few times but most s…

Dude. I'm not citing an article someone wrote about their feelings. This article actually has facts and cites things. This isn't quite the same as an article that refers to other articles in order to cite by authority. f you don't want to accept the fact that Trump is a failure as a businessman, you don't have to. Just stop arguing about it. But if you're going to continue, then you're going to get presented with uncomfortable facts. And as a business you don’t want to be profitable you want to …

Like I said, I don't really want to argue about Trump here in mgtow. But you're not providing an actual argument anyway. I didn't say Trump didn't own any of these things. But actually making those things profitable is entirely different. It's not a good businessman who loses hundreds of millions of dollars. He started by inheriting a fortune, and turned it into debts. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/10/02/us/politics/donald-trump-tax-schemes-fred-trump.html

Urg. I really don't want to argue about Trump here. Please don't make me do that. But Trump never actually successfully ran even a banana stand. Everything he was put in charge of tanked. He actually owes hundreds of millions to the banks. His hotels are pretty much not his anymore. It's a nice idea to want to be behind someone who knows what they are doing economically, but Trump isn't that person. I'm sorry, man. P.S. Not nearly as good. If you're a trust fund baby, as long as you are halfway intelligent, you can live on that money for your entire life. But a woman can only live on her attractiveness until she hits the wall.
/r/MGTOW05/10/20 06:44 PM

And they are quick to shut down anything that proves their basic assumptions wrong, even those things they themselves started. For example, when google used of AI to try to hire people and it started hiring fewer women than previously, they shut that down quick.
/r/MGTOW05/10/20 06:41 PM
6

And the problem with women isn't that they are strong and independent, but in actual fact they aren't. They claim to be strong and independent, but are merely bitchy and demanding. A true strong and independent woman wouldn't need alimony, wouldn't get pregnant to trap a man, wouldn't insist on being the one who chooses to carry the baby while also demanding child support, and insist that we believe all women without proof.

Reduce your income for a while before you divorce so that any alimony will be small. Or maybe try for an annulment, if that's possible. Probably isn't but depends on the length of your marriage.

No, but it's not looked on in a far more positive light than being fat. Be honest now. If you were interviewing someone, and you had a choice between a guy who liked to drink on the weekends and smoke, vs a guy who didn't do either, who would you pick? With both people having the same experience and as far as you can tell the same skill in the job? Now the same question between someone who was a fat ass and someone who wasn't.
/r/PussyPassDenied26/09/20 10:55 PM

The thing is that smoking and drinking is accepted, and considered 'cool', while being fat isn't. The fact is that being fat (male or female) is looked down upon because of perceived character. Even if the person is trying to control their diet and trying to work out, the perception is that they are a lazy over-eater. It's not unlike assuming someone is shifty or criminal because of their face.

Also, I AM doing something about it but it takes time. But the point I'm trying to make is that all fat people aren't trying to normalize being fat, nor make people accept it much less pretend it's healthy. Maureen cheats with her son's test scores to get him into the program. Doctor Smith is a female who stole her twin sister's credentials to sneak into the space station, and iirc kills someone so she can steal a ship when the station is attacked. Doctor Smith is about as evil as the original, but smarter and causes more trouble. All in all, seemed pretty realistic to me, personalities-wise. That said, I'm not a big fan of dystopian future sf.

Computer programming, for instance, used to be a relatively menial role done by women. But when male programmers began to outnumber female ones, the job began paying more and gained prestige. I tried, actually, but between the trip and the people, I just couldn't for long. That's why I ended up just working out at home with sit ups and push ups. But I've been working out at home again for the last few years, using an elliptical I bought years ago. Can't do it every day but I'm doing it 3 times a week. Mostly to get my heart rate up. It's working out well. My doctor just reduced another pill I take. Last year he reduced a different one.

I don't like them over-using swat teams. But more training is important. When an officer shoots a child in attempting to shoot the family dog, there's a problem. When an officer shoots an adult who is clearly trying to obey conflicting orders, there's a problem.

To be fair, if I go to a store or bar, I wouldn't appreciate being used in their promotional material with being asked either. Sure, there's no expectation of privacy, but there's also every expectation that you won't be used in promotional material. Kmart did that once. They put up signs saying that anyone who enters the store that day agrees that they can be used in their ads. I only went in because I figure they would definitely not use my image.

I would suggest that before you let your gf move in (or bf for that matter), check their credit score. If it's so shitty that they can't even finance the steam off a hotdog, you don't want them to live with you. Merely bad credit, ok. But unless they are married to you, don't effing cosign. In fact, don't even let someone move in with you unless you're married to them. They WILL screw you over. Unless they are on the lease too. But even then no.

Eh, not a fan of this one. Vader is a bad example of female abuse making them aware of the female dark side. Anakin turned into a murderer of children for love, and Vader probably had all the women getting wet for him, being so powerful. But maybe I'm just not seeing it.

Also, when I googled for it (but didn't find it) I saw how sat scores have the average of boys beating girls by 4 points. But if they want to make schools work better for boys, make everything a quest.

If the universe is expanding, that implies it's got a specific size. If you go with the balloon example for how it's expanding, it also suggests that it wraps around. There is no edge to the universe. If you can go far enough in any one direction, you'll end up coming back from another direction. I don't have a point here. Then start playing with html and javascript. There is a huge market for people who can do front end development. For Front End development, you'll want a framework like React or something. People love to find others to hate, whether there is reason or not. If a person can find a group and classify them as evil douchebags, they become fair game in his head to trash them in every way. SQLite does not have a storage class set aside for storing dates and/or times. Instead, the built-in Date And Time Functions of SQLite are capable of storing dates and times as TEXT, REAL, or INTEGER values: So by not having a type, it doesn't automatically convert it to a date format? That sounds like a pita. I could see why you store it as a string. I'd probably do that too if I had to use SQLite. I assume you normalize it first so it's at least the same date format though.

I suppose if some kids aren't bringing that stuff, then the teacher might be stuck for it. But how much does that cost? Yeah I'm against giving teachers pensions. If the parent(s) are emotionally children themselves, and don't work on logic, the children are going to be screwed up. Doesn't matter if it's a single father, single mother, or two parents. However, men tend to be stronger and work on logic, having emotionally grown up because they are men.

slaves in America also got paid, or had the ability to own money, hence they could buy their freedom). Some did I'm sure. Serfs didn't get food, which the slaves in America did. So the payment could be viewed as the food. No. Serfs were semi-independent. They were simply peasants locked to the land. Peasants weren't much better off. You can argue all kinds of ways about how people were effectively slaves even if not in name, but I'm not going to argue that. You could argue that divorced men with…

You're talking about serfdom, and it's not quite the same as slavery. Serfs got paid, even if they didn't have the choice to work there. Yes, serfs were very close to being slaves, but they were not slaves but serfs. And yes they could be sold but only sold with the land they were attached to. Slaves could be sold without the land.

But 19 generations ago counts? I didn't say that. I used 20 as an example. The farther you go back, the less relevant it is. So 20 generations ago is less relevant than 19, and 12 is less relevant the 10. It really dosent matter of its was 1 generation or 20 Sure, it's not your fault if your parents had slaves. But it's a lot more relevant than if it was 20 generations ago. 1 generation means you probably benefited directly. Are you really suggesting that Poland didn't have slavery in 500 years …

20 generations is like 600 to 700 years in the past, that would mean 1 person back then would have millions of living relatives now. Like I said, any potential slave-owning ancestor more than 20 generations ago doesn't really count towards having slave owning ancestors. Assuming lords, kings and land owners tended to get quite a bit of children with other women, I would say there is a good chance. Only if those kings or landowners were living in countries with slavery. For example, Poland had sl…

The farther you go back, the less relevant slave-owner ancestors are. The farther you go back, the more ancestors you share with everyone else. I think you misunderstood me though. You have to disqualify having slave-holder ancestors if it was more than 20 generations back. If someone is still bitching about being held down because their ancestors 1270 years ago were slaves, they are simply playing the victim. Actually it's quite probable. There were plenty of people in Europe that didn't have the money for slaves. Unless you go back more than 1000 years, after which everyone starts sharing ancestors to some extent anyway. Unless you're suggesting poor farmers in Lithuania owned slaves. Black yet, right? I've had intermittent luck working with women in technical positions. Sometimes they are ok, sometimes they suck. But it's usually just one woman among men. stay away from artificial sweeteners like aspartame and high fructose corn syrup. HFCS isn't an artificial sweetener. It's a sweetener, and arguably worse than regular sugar. It's not any more artificial than sugar from sugar cane or sugar beets. it causes all this insulin THINKING you have taken sugar, but with no sugar being absorbed, it then tricks your body into shutting down into low metabolic mode (similar to starvation mode), thus any and all calories you have go right to fat and won't ge…

The only way to objectively define what "good genetic quality" is, is whether it leads to reproduction. Because in the end, evolution doesn't care about anything, I would have to disagree. I believe it's a matter of opinion, especially now and in the future, when it comes to better genetic material. Passing on your genes to children doesn't require actually doing anything more than providing sperm. By the rule of reproduction, the best genetic material would be from someone who donates the most …

Humans, as any other animal, have evolved to assess the genetic quality of a mate by the means they had access to in the process of evolving. But that's not exactly what he's saying. Those qualities don't necessarily make someone better genetically than someone else. It just makes them "hawter".

It's not simply a replacement of the background, but you can tell the background image isn't the exact same angle. The tree on the left is a different size, suggesting it was taken at two different times or it was a different spot taken. The tree on the right isn't even in the photo on the left. The sky is a different color. The angle of the sidewalk line on the right is markedly different from that on the left. The fact that he took out the guy but left the other person in the background simply…

What they're saying is that the pool itself won't be a vector, but the proximity of multiple people in a pool poses that risk, which they are trying to avoid by banning all pool use I get that. And if someone had stated that initially rather than jumping down my throat, I would have simply said ok. However, no one suggested that, meaning that no one was thinking that. It's merely a rationalization to support the idea that using the pool is bad. I'm not saying the the rule of not using the pool i…

And do you think the CDC should be conducting tests No. But they obviously feel confidant enough to say it's not a problem. Or do you not agree with scientists? All I was saying is that if they are going to claim that hanging out together is bad, then they should restrict the entire patio, not just the pool. Focusing on the pool alone is simply security theater. Unless you're saying "well, if we open up the pool then we have 50 people but if we just open the patio alone we only have 30, so that'…

It's absolutely no different than if people hang around NEAR the pool. Not sure why you're so intent on "POOL IS BAD BECAUSE SICKNESS, BUT PATIO IS OK!" Going further, the absence of evidence that it can be transmitted through pools is not evidence that it can't be. No evidence but even the CDC doesn't consider it worth worrying about. There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlo…

The entire hotel is on quarantine and cannot leave their rooms. Did you watch the same video? There IS a crowd nearby, all dressed as if they were sunbathing. The pool was surrounded by a quarantine rope, not the rest. If they had told everyone not to leave their rooms, what would be the point of surrounding just the pool with ropes preventing use? No one was there asking people to return to their rooms. But if she spit and coughed on the security guards they could potentially become infected. C…

No. YOU fail to see the point. There was a crowd of people in the video. No one was telling them to stop congregating. They simply forbid anyone from swimming, which was pointless. So they can relax near the pool and cough, but they can't swim in the water and cough. Basically security theater, because sharing a pool with potentially sick people is dangerous! Except it's not.

Yeah, that's a really strong way to grow your wealth, but the first few units are the hardest. You also have to do a lot of maintenance and finding good renters. A few bad renters and you're screwed. And the paperwork. The paperwork is really what makes me not want to do it. When I was young my dad wanted me to split a 6 flat with him but I ended up choosing not to. The flats were tiny. I probably should have done it but I decided to buy my own home instead.

This won't work. Women will just wait until the child is born to let you know you're a daddy. Men should just be not liable unless they are married to the woman when she has the baby. Otherwise they should be able to refuse, on the grounds that they didn't have the opportunity to abort. But if they refuse, then they can't ever be any kind of parent to the child.

A single family home is a lot higher risk in terms of renting. If you have just one, you'll have no rental income at all for periods of time while you are still trying to pay the mortgage. With a multi-unit, you are more likely to have some income coming in at all times. The more units, the higher the average at any one time. For example, a 6 unit building might have on average 5 apartments rented while a 2 flat might have 1. Of course you could own multiple investment homes. But also you will h…

I would like to think you are right, but I believe it's cyclical. Society might learn for a while, but it's impossible to stamp out a belief even if society laughs at it. (flat earthers, anti-vaxxers, etc) Unfortunately, individuals aren't born rational, so until society has a way to teach people rationality, we'll always have these problems. Everyone is at least a little bit insane.

but if you're MGTOW then women acting like women as you put it will almost never be an issue for you anyway. Unfortunately not quite true. Even mgtow individuals have to deal with women in the real world. It will never go away. Even if feminism drops back down to what it was years ago, women will always act like women. It's their nature. All we can hope for is for men everywhere to understand it and stop supporting it, which might happen for a few generations but then it will happen again.

From what I saw on the post, students pay $15-25k per semester to live in the dorms. The poster wasn't sure if it was per year or semester though. But if it's $20k or so for a semester, that's well over the cost of $4k a month.

I didn't go to far down but a lot of the NTA's are saying he's not an asshole for doing this, but just an asshole in general. Women seem to think single guys are lonely. They see a single guy and think the obvious solution is to match them up with a single girl. I honestly wouldn't like hearing positive talk either. However, it's obviously not the same, not when women who have hit the wall start to admit they miss the catcalling. Women are attention whores, and they just object to some catcalling. They only object to it from unattractive men.

True. You make a good point. Could be he is under orders to start warning cyclists because there's been a problem. I guess I could see giving out warnings for that, although he could simply stop cyclists and verbally tell them they need to ride on the correct side of the street or they will get a ticket, without actually needing to see their identification. But it's entirely possible that the department is requiring them to do it by the book and hand out written warnings.

I worked tech support 7 years ago for a large corp. One of my co-workers, a black woman, was arguing with 2 other co-workers. I was quietly working. We all sat near each other. When the boss, a woman, heard them arguing, she came over to put a stop to it. The black woman said all three of us were making racist remarks. When I objected and said I wasn't even involved, she just laughed. she did not care in the least. She thought it was funny to get us in trouble. And this after I was always there …

Emissions are negative externalities right now and to get a sustainable, free market-based solution, they need to show up in prices. They are though. Electric cars are a thing that's growing. Not because of government, but because people want them. Coal mines are going away, in spite of Trump, because people are moving away by choice from using coal. People are installing solar panels and alternative energy. Sure, lots of it is due to incentives but rather because it's cheaper. Increasing taxes …

I thought they used to be. Maybe it's just passing the entrance requirements. Yes, we all know that. I already stated that I know it came from the bible quote. Do you have a reading comprehension issue? But it's now a NEW quote. Honestly you can't blame the media for showing the photos. That's their job. We need them to keep doing their job to shine the light on corruption. We can't expect the media to be able to make judgement calls on this stuff. That could lead to the media suppressing things that should be released. The problem was the person in the investigation who leaked the photos, knowing they weren't doing it to promote freedom and reduce corruption but just for money.

As I said your metabolic rate slows, but your calorie deficit across the day will be greater than if you eat. So we agree. Your metabolism slows. No, starvation is the best way to lose weight for some people. A blanket statement saying it's the worst way is completely incorrect. Yes, and your example was edge cases where morbidly obese people are restricted to starvation diets by doctors. Nothing I said was incorrect. You're simply being argumentative. The cases I'm referencing were morbidly obese people that were starving under medical supervision, people who were so fat that it was a serious health risk. It's certainly not something I'd advocate for someone who needs to lose a few pounds. Fair enough but I wasn't really discussing edge cases. Even then, shows like "my 800 lb life" or whatever they are called don't have the patient starving even when hospitalized. They just have reduced diets. 1000-1500 calories per day or so if I remember ri…

I've done starvation diets and I always fall off hard. I've also done keto and again I fall off hard. Keto does have some other benefits besides weight though. It massively lowers my a1c numbers, for example, and I'm talking about a permanent effect, not just for the 3 month period. But I have a lot easier time staying on a slow weight loss diet if I just eat right and exercise. Actually didn't even exercise and I had lost 50 lbs. But I wasn't starving myself either. I'm guessing that one diet i…

Yes but if you starve yourself, your body actually works to conserve energy. Starvation is the worst way to lose weight. When you stop starving yourself, you can also gain it all right back way too easily. Exercise and eating right is the way to go.

This isn't an accidental overpayment. I don't know if it would be legal or not. But even if the server could do it, it would be wrong. It screws over the owners, and if they are small enough, $5k could really hurt them. Restaurants work on a very small profit margin.

The charge was deemed fraudulent, which caused a chargeback to the restaurant, meaning the owner was out the money since they had already given it to the server.
