Okay, so first of all this is for buddy of mine. He was telling me this just tonight and damn, the situation just seems like it sucks. So, he spent a few years abroad in japan, met a girl, came back to the US after those few years, got married here in the US, got her her visa, and had a kid together. Her visa is now set to expire, she wants a divorce, wants to go back to Japan, and also wants to take their kid with her. Have any of you ever had to deal with something like this? What can he do? Does she have an upper hand in him or can she get away with this? If she takes the kid back, there is no chance of my buddy seeing him again.
