Was having a serious conversation with my parents without telling them I'm full MGTOW however dropping a few red pills here and there. I opened up the discussion about how there is no real reason to get married at all but without speaking to harsh. I told them if a couple even loved eachother they still shouldn't sign a contract to say that they are together (marriage) in case they break up and the guy will lose his whole life and become a slave.

They told me there is a "defacto relationship" saying that even if they aren't married if a couple is still living together even if the house is under the guys name the girl will still be entitled to half of everything even though they are not married? Is this true? Can girls take our things even if we are not in a relationship on paper?
