Anyway sounds like another case of a wife dropping the mask or having the switch flipped where the poor beta doesn't know who his wife is anymore. This is what a lot of guys don't realize - it doesn't matter how wonderful your girlfriend/wife seems right now the potential is high that she'll flip and be unrecognizable at some point down the road then you'll be dealing with literally a stranger whom you want out of your life. And it doesn't matter how many happy memories you have, they'll mean nothing to this stranger.

I’ve walked a similar road.

However, what the OP claimed was his one mistake, will probably boost his case in court. He made the effort to put things back on the mend.

Clearly, the problem is not his.

He should push for joint custody at 50/50. It seems to be the best case for the kids outcome, even if his STBX is a complete whore. In time, there is a chance the kids will choose the parent who has most of their shit together. If the ex is already ignoring her oldest daughter, it could be an easy win.

From the little I have seen, the parent who forces a kid to choose will eventually lose the relationship with the kid. When they’re old enough, the court will allow the child to make their own decision.
