Tinder fucked up the game for everyone. That's why I deleted the app along time ago. I'm a ok looking lad, no Ryan Gosling but 6/10 on a good day. I was getting the odd match here and there. Then realised I'm wasting so much time chatting up these girls, when another 100 guys are chatting up the same girl. The Dating Sites back around 2000-2007 use to be like shooting fish in a barrel as long as you were a (decent) looking guy who could carry a (decent) conversation. You're smart to avoid the congested road. People take that because it's the easiest. Dude I’m like 8/10 and I still ended up hating Tinder. The odds of matching with a decent girl and her actually turning out to be worth talking to are almost negligible. I matched with plenty of girls, but they were all boring AF to talk to, and one of them was nice but emotionally damaged so it didn’t go anywhere.
But still, I was surprised at how most of the girls swiping right on me (you can check by counting your new matches and watching them go down as you swipe) were 5-6 on a 1-10 scale. Tinder really screwed up womens’ expectations and has further deincentivized them from working on themselves and becoming actually worth hanging out with. Tinder might have driven the final nail into the coffin of western society; our fertility level is already way past the point of replacement.

Women swipe selectively, and men usually swipe on everyone. Any time you make a female account, or you see men run experiments with female made accounts, you will get tons of matches simply because men are always swiping right and filtering after. Women filter as they're swiping, and what the men doing the experiments will do is swipe right on every guy and rack up matches when that's not usually how they do it. I got 75 matches in a week in bumblefuck nowhere swiping extremely selectively myself, and I had more matches than a lot of the pretty girls I matched with simply because they would hardly ever swipe right.
