I have a story from someone I know (many actually)

She already took the house and his car, his lawyer laughed when he heard she was going to take 60% of the savings.... she took 70%

I have a Good family/divorce judge. Its her lawyer and child liasion thats the problem.

I offered to take half the house debt in exchange for keeping my car and what i could fit in it. Since we werent married long he gave us an annulment.

I paid off half the house and the judge told her shes an adult she needs to lift her weight too and I was allowed to be removed from the mortgage.

I still lost everything in the house for thr most part and anything in the bank. But I was able to skirt by my investments car and some personal items.

Family court is where I was fucked the hardest.

I've got a divorce rape story that I could turn into a book. Not real comfortable sharing details in a public forum simply because I don't want any identifying details of myself on the internet.

Let's just say I (who initiated the divorce) pretty much lost everything; including all of my earthly possessions. I'm way happier though.
