I'm kind of on both sides. Since my parents divorced, I was sure I never wanted a girlfriend. I dont like the competition in dating and treating women like they're goddess from another world. I dont like how my male friends are being bossed around by their girlfriends. I also dont like how much power women have in general over men. So yeah, saying no to dating/sex was never a big issue for me.

On the other hand I do enjoy the company of cute girls. I have a lot of asian female friends. Our friendships are really just talking and playing mobile games. I appreciate the times we did spent togather. We played and ate together, it was fun. I wouldn't call it worse than hanging out with the bros, a different experience. Sometimes, my bros ask me "well why dont you date any of your female friends, they're pretty cute" and I dont know how to answer. They themselves have become semi-slaves to their girlfriends.

I'm forgiving, but strict. If I notice a girl (or guy for that matter) only hangs out with me to get something, I discard of them quickly. And yes, I did discard on a good number of them. But I also had those girl friends who hung out with me even when I was dirt poor and uneducated.

tl;dr unlike most MGTOWs, I do enjoy having female friends. However, I'd never date a woman because my freedom is precious to me and they are WAY too expensive. I live close to places where brothels are pretty cheap, so it's dating one of girls I personally is just a bad deal. Is that still MGTOW though? Mid 20s here btw. Perhaps things change in my 30s
