Some guys aren't cut out to be any other way. My brother is a great looking successful guy with a beautiful daughter, but because of his overly nice personality he can't seem to find a decent girl. I happen to be quite the opposite. I'm not a complete dick but I give a lot less f***s than he does. But it's like he's not cut out to be any other way no matter how much I coach him.

Nice guys are less oblivious than you think.

Being nice is a sexual strategy, just a poor one with limited success. Because they don't have the option of acting "Chad" they do the best with what they're given - trying to charm a woman into bed.

So no, they'll never "wake up." Doing so would leave them with no options at all.

I noticed that nice guys make the best chauvinists after they wake up.

As posted below, being a nice guy is mostly female indoctrination for the first one or two decades of a boys life.

Mothers raise their sons to be as less hassle as possible: he has to be nice, polite, follow (female) orders, do as told...

It takes a while for a young man to realise that this behaviour, while being helpful in living with a woman that has power over him, will not help him out there.

Some can not stomach that they were lied to and go way too much into the other direction. Some never learn it and stay simps. Most find a middle way between being an agreeable person (which is the lube of society) while not being taken advantage off.

Some might, but many people fine themselves in too deep to get out (or so they think). I typically see two different types.

The weak-willed: Usually think they're not with anything by themselves. Depressed and starved for attention from themselves or others.

The conformist: Usually they go with what the media tells them to. They believe their worth can be indicated in the woman/women they date.

Many people are too lazy to think for themselves, and don't take the time to consider options that go against their predetermined world-view.

there's more to it. Nice guys are usually not particularly good looking. To put it bluntly, their physical appearance usually makes vaginas dry up in a mile radius. Obviously they are looking for answers, and the most usual one they get is "be a gentlemen", "respect women", "work on your personality". Which is the easiest advice to give, because telling them the truth might make it sound like women are shallow and are only interested in looks (and that would make you look like a misogynist!).
