I recently attended a 1st Aid Refresher course with 12 other people 50/50 male to female ratio.

Every single male, without exception, stated explicitly that they would refuse to give CPR to a female, or to apply a defibrillator to her chest due to cases of male 1st Aiders being reported for sexual assault even though they saved the woman's life.

To my surprise, a few of the girls agreed that if they were male they would also refuse to treat a woman.

Well I’m going to be a doctor so I don’t have much of a choice. I will 100% avoid that situation outside of the hospital.

This is why I allowed my CPR card to expire over 10 years ago. I never "SEE" car accidents or people in distress.
