I have a male friend who I’ve known for 10 years now and he always has a secret crush on me. I once decided to get into a relationship with him when I realized there was noone beside me but him at that time. I lost my faith in guys and had said no to sex for 3 years then we did it and then became a couple.

He is so kind and caring. We have thought of getting married and have introduced each other to our family members. We planned on next year marriage. But then I always feel it’s not enough. I feel there’s a lack in something. I want someone different. Someone who can drive me up and down, not just treating me right. In this society where I couldn’t trust anyone especially guys, I only feel safe with him. I know he will love me for who I am and be tolerant for every mistake I make just to make me his woman. We had been dating for 1 year when I suddenly had a crush on a coworker and 4 months later, I went out with that guy and we kissed. That is a totally magically strange feeling that I cannot find in my bf. I splitted up with him knowing I can never be the same again. I know the coworker and I will not go anywhere but I have strong feelings for him (though he’s a typically bad guy).

Nice guy is not enough sometimes. Bad guy knows how to make you crazy for him.

I've never rejected a nice guy before, except for one friend when we confessed to eachother once. I was developing feelings barley and he liked me. But then we decided to forget about that time. I didn't want to date him not because I wasn't attracted to him, it was because I didn't want to hurt him or anything. I don’t want to date him for pity. The reason is because it hurts more to hear a breakup than a rejection. Why? Because u lose a person you you've been with and took care with and realise that all the “love” could have been false all this time which hurts because u truly loved him or her. I suffer with depression and anxiety, meaning it could be an unhealthy relationship. There wouldn't be trust. He deserves some who is healthier and better for him. So to answer this question, I don’t regret not accepting his confession nor mine. A friend is really worth more than a short term relationship. We are still friends and hopefully will always be. If we get closer one day, so be it. That means that we gave eachother a chance and let eachother in our walls.
