Hello everyone,

tl;dr: newfag introduces himself. thinking about possible escape strategies: part-time/early retirement/sailing away. Asking for another suggestions.

since this is my first post here, let me introduce myself a little bit: I live in the Europe, I'm in my late twenties and never had a serious relationship. Needless to say, growing up was quite difficult... I guess worst was high school / university, when classmates were partying, drinking, dating and fucking and I was always the fat kid that spends too much time on the computer. Psychologically and emotionally I was a train wreck. After school my situation gradually improved (except that fat part, but recently I've stared working on that as well...). Now I make ~4k USD a month (okay, for US citizens it probably isn't much, but here it's ~4 times the average).

The problem is, I had not known what to do with my life, it felt... incomplete I guess. I'd bet this is the moment when most men start thinking about long-term relationships, settle down, have wife, kids, mortgage and leased car and other stuff that makes a family. But since I've been redpilled (don't remember exactly how or when, I guess it was more a process...), that's not something I want. This raises an interesting question, what should I do with my life? And I've started thinking...

Working 9 hours a day, 5 days a week for a ~40 more years so I could buy a new cool gadgets and stuff does not feel satisfying, it makes me sick (even though I like the job I'm at right now). Cross that, not going to happen.

Working part time doesn't sound that bad, I could definitely live with much less than I earn now, but then, a lot of aspects that annoy me (having to keep up with modern technologies, self-education and all that stuff) will be the same no matter if I'll be employed full-time or part-time.

I could possibly work my ass off for a ~10 years, build a sizable budget (300-400k USD should be enough), invest it, live from the profits and retire in my early 40s. However if another bubble bursts, I could easily end without money and with a large gap in my career, so I won't be able to get another "reasonable" job. But still, I consider this my "backup" plan.

What I consider my top escape strategy now (feeling getting the fuck out of here altogether since it feels the society is directed straight to hell) is focusing on is getting enough money to buy a decent old sailboat and having enough money to live off for the first few years, my guess is I'd be able to make more money while underway. Fix the boat and then sail away with a raised middle finger. It should be doable in a 2-3 years and if anything happens, I can always sell the boat and return.

What about you? What are your escape strategies, if you have any? Oh, and sorry for a long post.
