Playing games is better than consuming any other kind of media. Except maybe watching GOOD QUALITY and well researched documentaries. Which are really rare to come by these days.

Not all of them. There's still some really good titles out there. You should try indie games if you dont want propoganda they are largely unaffected by bs.
Big companies like EA are the worst affected to the point where they kill their own product.

Pro gamer my whole life(rank 1-20 in all call of duty games when i was active , also played PC World of Warcraft and was making a few 1000$ a week at the age of 18)
The reasoning behind why i say gaming is better than Tv.
I’m sure there’s more but gaming made me who i am, it allowed me to read people VERY well, and it expanded my knowledge on logic , details, word play, grammar (although i seem not to care about grammar on the internet at much, from years of typing slang on WoW)
