I see it as they want to think that way it's their choice. I don't have to agree, but it's not for me to argue. It's not respect in the sense of looking up and thinking they're right, it's more leaving them alone to their own views.
I do mess with really religious people who try and press their views, which I don't respect. My go to line is, "did you know Islam, Christianity, Judaism are all actually worshipping the same god"

I like how attacks against religion are focused on Christianity. How many people are calling out Jews for holding on to literally hundreds of rules created centuries ago? How many people dare criticize Islam in muslim countries?
It's mostly Christian societies that have been subversed and perverted. Compare nations in Europe where traditions and religion are weak to those where those two components are still relatively respected. The former nations are aflicted by societal diseases that the latter don't have.
