I bet every single one of these 'featured speakers' was a mediocre at best, but has been promoted to 'manage' the real contributors. How do can they seriously hope to fairly evaluate technical performance while themselves never having created anything. This culture makes me sick to core.

I see this happening in more and more companies and makes me not want to work there. I'm 90% confident that the tech culture is rotten to the core at every single one of these companies.
