Degeneracy. Various forces and groups, some well-intentioned and others quite nefarious, are pushing for a complete disruption of Western cultural norms and have been since at least the 1960's. Embracing of deviancy (especially any of the sexual variety) is one of the key routes for effecting degeneracy as being normative.

We are reaching the end-game of this degradation of cultural fitness in the West right now. Either structure, order, and Western conservatism will resurge, or (as seems more likely), Islam will rule most of the planet in 50 years. Islam is just entering the modern era, whereas Christianity entered it hundreds of years ago, and has subsequently collapsed practically everywhere it once held sway.

Whatever modern rationalists might say about religion, it has been one of the key organizing forces of civilization from the very beginning, and remains so. Without the cultural cohesion of religion, the West opened itself to a host of invasive forces and ideas; Islam is practically immune to many of these.

The cultural Marxist have tried to fill the void with modern religions disguised as "science", with cults like the Warmists and the Feminists and various flavors of Identitarian Victimists. But these all lack cohesion outside of niche groups and have no broader appeal or coercive force.

Any civilizations that survive World War 3 will probably engage in entirely new paradigms that will be unrecognizable to us. Who alive during WW2 could've predicted the utter collapse of the British Empire, accompanied by their (and others') civilizational suicide via unchecked immigration? Who would have thought that gold and silver would be replaced by fiat currency worldwide? Who could have predicted the cultural mainstreaming of homosexuality and the fakery of "transgenderism" being pushed in elementary schools?

WW2 was a discontinuity, beyond which then-current trajectories could not be plotted. WW3 will be the same. So maybe (hopefully) I'm wrong about Islam - maybe it will be largely wiped out as well.
